Condition Assessment & Rehabilitation

MJP & Associates coordinates with clients and contractors to maintain project continuity throughout all operations, and monitor quality control and construction costs.

Our approach is to document each procedure from initial investigation, planning and implementation through to the final acceptance documents. Project stages may include:

  • forensic investigation, inspection and evaluation (e.g., CCTV, multi-sensor techniques, etc.)
  • selection of appropriate rehabilitation technology
  • Quality assurance (Qa) and Quality control (Qc) protocols, acceptance criteria, and independent testing.

Assessments and recommendations are supported with objective data from field tests performed by our experts in collaboration with independent laboratories.

We are committed to staying current with new and emerging technologies. Our company continues to devise new assessment procedures to address the ongoing deterioration of underground assets -- a growing area of concern for Canadian municipalities. We have developed guidelines and specifications for many of the major underground utility rehabilitation methods currently available in Western Canada.

In 2011, MJP & Associates formed a subsidiary, Pyper Infrastructure Management Ltd., which focuses on forensic investigations of failed pipe materials, including soil sampling, corrosion assessment and time-to-failure analysis. See the Pyper website for information on this area of expertise.
